Piano and Vocal
He studied Film Scoring and Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston, later completing a Master’s degree in Music Business and Management at ITU/MIAM. He also earned a second bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Marmara University.
In 1996, he performed the solo tenor part of Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms—originally composed for choir and orchestra with Hebrew text—at Berklee College of Music’s Performance Center, under the direction of Anne Peckham. In 2002, he appeared as the pianist of Berklee’s Country Band during the music festival organized by the college in Boston. In 2009, he produced and hosted the jazz radio program “Caz Tüneli” during the evening slot on NTV Radio.
He has collaborated with artists such as Ricky Ford (sax), Robert R. Reigle (sax), Richie Ellis (piano), Beth Trollan (vocal), Larry O’Neal (vocal), Mr. Cole (a.k.a. Nejdet / vocal), Ali Kocatepe, Vedat Sakman, Ajda Pekkan, İlham Gencer, İlhan Gencer, Ayşe Gencer, Bora Gencer, Sibel Alaş, Ajda Ahu Giray (vocal), Selen Servi (vocal), Evrim Özşuca (vocal), Nurettin Özşuca, Şenay Lambaoğlu (vocal), Şafak Yaprak (vocal), Yahya Dai, Uraz Kıvaner, Kerem Görsev, Atilla Özdemiroğlu, Melih Kibar, Romalı Perihan, and Ayten Alpman.
He continues to work on new compositions and performs regularly as a pianist-vocalist at various venues, most notably Büyük Kulüp (Cercle d’Orient), as well as several bars and clubs. In addition, he teaches classical and jazz piano, vocal technique, music theory, and music history.
