
Ceyda Fişenk
Piano, Oboe, Theory and Kindergarten Music Education
She started her music education at the age of 5 by playing the piano. In 2005, she took Voice lessons from Nursel and Ahmet Öncül, and Solfège lessons from İncilay Girit at SANSEV. Between 2006 and 2014, she participated in various festivals and gave concerts with SANSEV. She took part in the Ankara Polyphonic Choirs Festival, Nevit Kodallı Polyphonic Choirs Festival, İDOB and İDSO. She performed in many art centers such as Atatürk Cultural Center, Süreyya Opera House, Aya İrini Church, Türkan Saylan Cultural Center, Süleyman Seba Culture and Art Center, and Barış Manço Cultural Center.
In 2009, she was accepted to the part-time French Horn Department of Istanbul University State Conservatory. She started her studies with Ertuğrul Köse and later continued with Burak Hoşses. In 2012, she switched to the Oboe Department and became a student of Levent Çolak. In 2013, she continued her education as a full-time high school student.
In 2017, she started her undergraduate studies at Istanbul University State Conservatory. She studied Piano with Fulya Tezer, Tutu Aydınoğlu, İrakli Chumburidze; Music History with Elif Tunak Akın; Harmony with Ebru Sakur Bulur, Dilara Gözde Araz, Hakan Abit, Feride Özbaykal, Emel Çelebioğlu; Form and Music Analysis with Sonat Mutver; Orchestration with İlke Karcılıoğlu; and Chamber Music with Begüm Çelebioğlu, graduating in 2022. In 2025, she completed her pedagogical formation at Marmara University Faculty of Education.
She has performed in the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, Istanbul University State Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, Doğuş Children’s Symphony Orchestra, Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, Kartal Municipality Youth Symphony Orchestra, Konçertant Symphony Orchestra, Boğaziçi Philharmonic Orchestra, Indigo Orchestra, and Gordion Chamber Orchestra, giving various concerts. She worked with many conductors including Rengim Gökmen, Cem Mansur, Hakan Şensoy, İbrahim Yazıcı, Ramiz Melik Aslanov, Batuhan Uzgören, İlker Öztürk, Murat Cem Orhan, Serdar Yalçın, Tolga Taviş, and Hasan Niyazi Tura.
She is currently the principal oboist of the Galatasaray University Chamber Orchestra and also teaches Orff-Schulwerk-based music education in kindergartens. With the awareness of the importance of early childhood music education in children’s cognitive, emotional, and social development, she combines rhythm, movement, sound, and play with a holistic approach in her lessons. In this way, she aims not only to improve children’s musical skills but also to strengthen their creativity, self-confidence, and communication abilities. In addition, she provides piano education for all age groups; guiding her students to develop their technical skills, enhance their artistic expression, and make music a permanent part of their lives.
In her educational approach, she considers music not only as a field of performance but also as a universal value that nourishes the inner world of the individual and enriches life. With her belief in the transformative power of art, she continues her teaching activities with the mission of making music accessible to people of all ages and passing on the love of music to future generations.
