Vocal

Vocalist (Singer) is the term used to describe a musician who uses their voice to sing songs or accompany other instruments in a musical piece. While the term "singer" is more commonly used for musicians who sing a specific melody, the term "vocalist" is used for musicians who employ the human voice for various non-melodic sounds within a composition.

The term "lead vocalist" (or simply "vocalist") refers to those who perform the primary vocals at the forefront of a musical piece, while the term "backing vocalist" is used for musicians who provide accompaniment or harmony vocals to the lead vocalist or the composition.

Human voices are categorized into six main types, divided into three for female voices (soprano, mezzo-soprano, and alto) and three for male voices (tenor, baritone, and bass).
