Fatma Kokce

Fatma Kökçe, who graduated from Yeditepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Plastic Arts, uses collage technique in her production process. For this reason, she creates compositions that combine paper, found objects or oil paints. Fatma Kökçe questions both her inner world and social realities in her works. The artist focuses on the traces of body, identity and social dynamics in her paintings.

 

In the production process, she includes different disciplines such as performance and video art in her art works. The experiences that these disciplines bring her allow her art to take shape with mixed techniques such as multimedia and collage. The works she produces with collage and mixed techniques become a field that tells the continuous transformation and versatility of art and life. She aims to create new meanings and images in each of her works by interacting with different materials. The artist, who sees art not only as a form of expression but also as a journey of discovery, questions both her inner world and social realities while expressing herself. Each of Kökçe's works becomes a dialogue she establishes with the audience and an invitation that she aims to take them on an intellectual journey. In her works, she follows the traces of the human body, identity, pain and transformation, allowing the audience to embark on their own inner journey.
