Aslı Omağ is a versatile vocalist and performer with an impressive career in the world of music and theater. She holds a degree in Opera and Stage Arts from M.S.Ü. State Conservatory of Fine Arts Academy, and she embarked on her professional stage career at the young age of 16, performing in the opera "The Marriage of Figaro."

 

Throughout her career, Aslı Omağ has been part of various theater productions, including musicals like "Otogargara," "Burası Törkiye," "Kadınlık Bizde Kalsın," and "Son Kumpanya." She has also lent her soprano voice to several famous artists' albums.

Notably, Aslı Omağ played the lead role in the musical "Kuşlar" and the pioneering Turkish rock opera "Barışa Şans Verin." In the musical "Evita," she took on the supporting lead role. As an active participant both on and off the stage, Aslı Omağ has also been involved in theater production, serving as an effects artist at the City Theaters (Şehir Tiyatroları) and working as an assistant director for various productions. Her career extends beyond the theater, as Aslı Omağ has performed in concerts alongside diverse artists and musicians, ranging from the M.S.Ü. Fine Arts Academy Wind Instruments Orchestra to Fahir Atakoğlu, Ferhat Göçer, Keisa Brown, İlham Gencer, Aşkın Arsunan, İmer Demirer, Şenova Ülker, and more. Her repertoire includes 22 operas, 16 full musicals, and over 1,000 songs.

 

Aslı Omağ has also participated in various music competitions, achieving recognition in events such as the 1991 Istanbul Beyaz Güvercin Song Contest and the 1996 Altın Mikrofon Song Contest, where she received the second-place prize. Additionally, she represented Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1992.

 

Outside of her music career, Aslı Omağ pursued a Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences at Newport University, completing her studies in 2004. Her extensive experience in music education includes roles as an instructor at Sabancı University, Bilfen Schools, and Müjdat Gezen Art Center. She has also worked as a producer and program host on radio stations such as Power FM, Rock FM, Karma Love, and Karma Türk.

 

Notable highlights in Aslı Omağ's career include:

 

  • Recording a children's song album featuring compositions by Samin Bahçeban in Vienna with the Vienna Philharmonic, accompanied by Esin Afşar.

  • Being the youngest soprano participant in the "Placido Domingo Voice Competition" held at the Covent Garden Opera House in 1993.

  • Premiering the song "Türk Yunan Şiiri" composed by Muammer Sun with lyrics by Bülent Ecevit at the International Bursa Festival in 2000.

  • Performing alongside tenor Ferhat Göçer in the world premiere of the aforementioned composition.

  • Directing the children's play "Sihirli Flüt" at İstanbul B.B.S.T. in 2000 and performing in Nîmes, France, at Cathédrale de Nîmes in 2001.

  • Conducting the children's choir for Turkcell's "Kardelen" project in 2004, joining Sezen Aksu's concert series.

  • Writing and directing her own show "4 Sezen-Denge" in 2004, which was performed alongside Sezen Aksu at the Açık Hava Tiyatro (Open Air Theater) in June 2005.

  • Recording the aria "Ebben Neandro Lontana" from Alfredo Catalani's opera "Wally" for a commercial featured on Jordan Airlines' national and international flights in 2006.

  • Earning recognition from Cirque De Soleil's selection committee during auditions in Istanbul in 2010, with her recordings preserved in the Cirque De Soleil Sound Data Bank in Quebec, Canada.
